The Project

In 2023, Strategic Solutions designed the logo and built a one-page website for a counseling practice in Fridley. The April 2023 kickoff asked for a contact form, SimplePractice integration, nature imagery, parallax scrolling, and a simple site that could be expanded over time. The timeline they hoped for was November 2023.

What We Built

The December 2023 handoff was a one-page site with subtle animations. It included navigation, a header, an about section, services as hover-reveal cards on desktop, a billing section, a contact form, and a footer. Client-portal buttons open SimplePractice. Email, phone, and the office address were linked.

A February 2026 revision rebuilt the section list: navigation, header, mission statement, about, clinical expertise, approach, therapeutic styles, services, Could Therapy be Helpful, Ready to Begin, a personal note, billing, the contact form, and the footer.

The services are psychotherapy and assessments: individual psychotherapy, diagnostic assessments, and a comprehensive substance-use assessment. The billing section covers being in network with most major insurance, plus a sliding scale.

The contact form uses EmailJS. A submission goes to the practice, and the sender gets an auto-reply. It runs on EmailJS's free plan, 200 messages a month, on the SS Labs account.

The site is hosted on Vercel, on the free tier, under the Strategic Solutions account. The domain was registered at Namecheap on the practice's account and set to auto-renew, with SSL.

Strategic Solutions also created a Google Business Profile and transferred ownership, set up Google Analytics and granted admin access, submitted the sitemap to Google, set up Google Workspace email, and covered technical SEO basics.

Design Approach

Strategic Solutions designed the logo. The palette is gold (#D39937), teal (#5D999F), and pink (#DC8782). The typefaces are Montserrat, Qwitcher Grypen, and Brown Sugar. The page uses nature imagery, which was requested at kickoff.

Stack and Timeline

The build is Next.js 13.4.19 with the App Router, React 18.2, SCSS modules, framer-motion, react-countup, react-modal, react-icons, and @emailjs/browser.

The project folder started in April 2023, with the consultation that same month. Logo files are from August 2023. The handoff summary is from December 2023. The revision summary is from February 2026.
